Welcome to the Hampstead Jazz Club from all of us at Lateralize Ltd! We’re proud to be part-owners of the Duke of Hamilton pub and look after the exciting events at the Hampstead Jazz Club. As a business, we work with some incredible musical talent, ranging from jazz, soul and blues musicians, to musical theatre performers.

Creative Team
Our creative team are passionate about music, with an impressive range of experience and accolades between them. They’ve spent decades in the entertainment industry seeking out the top performers in the business, so you know your Jazz Club experience will always be the best it can be.

Hampstead Jazz Club – “All Stars”
We’re also lucky to play host to a number of in-house bands at the Jazz Club, including our much-loved ‘All Stars’. Led by Musical Director, Jamie Safir, the ‘All Stars’ play regularly at the club, alongside our house band and musical theatre jazz band.

THE SPACE AT THE HAMPSTEAD JAZZ CLUB

The Hampstead Jazz Club is an intimate and flexible space, perfect for performances of all kinds. With a great sound system and dedicated creative team, we offer the perfect setting for any event.

Rehearsal Space
Ideally located near Hampstead tube station, the club is available for rehearsals seven days a week from 12pm-5pm and outside of these hours by special request. The space includes a baby grand piano, drum kit, monitors and more, as well as a digital multi-track mixing desk.

Private Event Space
Easily accessible, but also intimate and private, the Jazz Club has its own bar and food offering, making it the ideal space for private events. Chat to us about hosting an album launch party, private performance, reception or any kind of gathering – we can make it happen for you.

Coaching and more….
The Jazz Club is also perfect for classes, coaching and other sessions. As a multi-purpose space, we can offer sessions with the Head Vocal Coach from the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, world-class masterclasses in piano, guitar, saxophone and more. RESIDENCIES
The Jazz Club will host regular residencies, featuring some of London’s best-loved musical talent from our creative team and radio and media partners.

JAZZ FM
The Jazz Club is proud to present a series of events in coordination with Jazz FM, including the Jazz FM ‘Artist of the Month’ and special jazz evenings. For each event, Jazz FM will choose a classic recording to be played on a traditional record player, with the work introduced by specially invited guests and accompanied by food and wine pairings.

Mi-Soul Connoisseurs – Jon Mansfield (JM)
A show curated by JM, a passionate soul music collector since the late 70s. Over the last 35 years, Jon has amassed a huge music collection, featuring soul, rare soul, disco, boogie, house, jazz, funk, R&B, hip hop and more. Now, he’ll be sharing that collection with the audience at the Hampstead Jazz Club, introducing them to an emerging soul artist each month.

The internet-based music service and platform represents the genres of soul and jazz from across nine decades, they’ll be showcasing artists to perform at the club for an evening of spectacular music and talent.

Blues nights
A regular showcase that brings the very best blues artists to perform at the Jazz Club.

Jazz Theatre Nights
A number of cabaret events hosted by Dollie Henry, Paul Jenkins and Alex Webb, celebrating the jazz theatre genre.

Themed Multi-Cultural Evenings
A number of events celebrating music from all over the world, with themed performances, food and drink. Kicking off with Greek nights before setting off further around the globe.

“Judi Jackson – Presents”
Judi Jackson, a 25-year-old multi-talented vocalist from Roanoke, Virginia, will be keeping us entertained at the Jazz Club in her monthly residency, featuring jazz, soul, funk and much more.

Since arriving in the UK in 2017, Judi has been lauded for her popular tribute shows, performing the works of Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse. Through her own music, Judi’s unique talent truly shines – she’s been working on her own original music for years, culminating in the release of her debut live album in October 2018.

“Annabel Williams – Showcases”
Annabel, part of the Hampstead Jazz Club creative team, is head vocal coach for the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. An accomplished solo artist, Annabel will be bringing her tremendous talent to the club both as a performer and as a coach.

“Drou – Music from Around the World”
Born in London to Greek/Cypriot parents, Drou has always maintained a strong connection to her Cypriot heritage and cultures. She embraces and celebrates this duality in her musical style and vocal agility, blending the soulful sounds of jazz and soul with enchanting eastern melodic influences and turning much-loved classics into unique creations.

Drou will be performing regularly at the club, showcasing her interpretation of jazz classics and introducing her own compositions in several languages.

Natalie Williams – “Soul Sisters”
One of the UK’s most endearing and popular soul/jazz artists, singer-songwriter Natalie Williams has seven critically acclaimed albums in her repertoire and a dedicated following that extends throughout the world. Her Ronnie Scott’s residency, Soul Family Sundays, has sold out every month for over 10 years, whilst performing to over 30,000 enthusiastic fans at the world-renowned jazz club.

Natalie will be bringing a soul vibe to the club with her regular ‘Soul Sisters’ feature, celebrating the very best of soul and jazz with her musical family.

FOOD AND DRINK

The Hampstead Jazz Club is part of the iconic Duke of Hamilton pub, once a stomping ground for famous actors Peter O’Toole, Oliver Reed and Richard Burton.

The infamous old pub has been lovingly restored by local brothers Ben and Ed, and their best friend, Adam, and now serves up an all-day menu of delicious, seasonal food and drink.
