Haircut 100 @ Lighthouse
Loading… Now open! An unexpected second chapter in the Haircut One Hundred story gathered pace last year when their irresistible first single in forever, ‘The Unloving Plum’, became Radio 2’s Record of the Week. Now that comeback steps up a gear as they announce that their new album ‘Boxing The Compass’ will be released 20 Mar 2026 with an exciting new UK tour. Nick Heyward says, “‘Boxing the Compass’ is the traditional way of finding out where you are on land or sea using the compass rose. We’re arriving back at the port we left 43 years ago with a log of songs from our personal travels. Wherever I’ve been in the world, I’ve always been Nick Heyward of Haircut 100 and we’re all ready to set sail again for more adventures on the high seas.” Stone Foundation return with their 11th studio album “The Revival Of Survival”. Following 4 consecutive UK Top 40 studio albums and a staggering 18 consecutive Top 10 hits on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart, the album is sure to continue the band’s remarkable rise over the past 25 years. The new material is reflective of the confidence within the band, who cannot wait for the fans to hear all the material, and indeed to play it live. Neil Jones says: “With ‘Cut Me Loose’ we wondered what it would be like to mix Talking Heads, Fela Kuti and Disco. The addition of the Prince of Burundi JP Bimeni on vocals was the cherry on top of a very funky cake. Neil Sheasby added, “‘Cut Me Loose’ was something we worked up fairly quickly once we had found the groove, it kind of puts me in mind of those early 80’s Rolling Stones movers like ‘Dance (pt1)’ or ‘Emotional Rescue’.
