Fantastic Stranger is a dynamic, saxophone-led trio from Bristol, known for high-energy performances. They fuse unrelenting riffs and delicate melodies with a generous dose of improvisation. Drummer and composer, Ollie Grant blends his love of early 2000s London Jazz with his knack for sculpting and shaping songs which is complemented by Dave Colebourn (Sax) and Zach Bartlett (Bass) who also share in Pop sensibilities. The trio crafts a unique sonic experience, defined by their emotive, intentional playing; crossing genres of psychedelic, post-rock and modal jazz. For over three years, Fantastic Stranger developed their sound in prestigious venues across Bristol, including The Gallimaufry, The Croft and Bristol Beacon.
