Truly “in the groove”, Bob has created the unique sound of “The Barcodes”. He has also performed with Alan Barnes, Art Themen, Jim Mullen, Zoot Money, Paul Jones, Shakey Vick, Chris Youlden, Bernie Marsden, Tim Hain, Pee Wee Ellis, Sonny Black, Nicky Payn, Gordon Smith & Earl Green. Bob has released his own CD ‘Shaded Spot’ on Note Records A recent review of Bob’s latest album: ‘A Shaded Spot’ is a more blues oriented album but with many, jazzy inflections The main star is Bob Haddrell, who sings and plays eleven cuts in the path of Kansas or West Coast piano school, that is to say, swinging like Count Basie or Glenn Lloyd used to do, to only mention two quite different piano players. And another review: Bob Haddrell has a distinguished pedigree as one of the UK’s foremost blues keyboardists, and his work on the Hammond organ is renowned. The mark of a great Hammond organist is the addition of pedal bass, a feat of co-ordination which needs to be seen to be believed.
