Booking a table is recommended, but you can just turn up if you’re happy standing. The Max Rosen Trio is a Manchester-based force that breathes fresh life into the jazz scene. Fusing timeless jazz standards with funky grooves, folk influences, and innovative original compositions, the trio try and keep the art of improvisation alive by showcasing all of these elements live on stage to the audience. Inspired by the virtuosity of legends like Brad Mehldau and Keith Jarrett, George, Pete and Max all met at university having played with each other throughout their studies. The Max Rosen Trio have recently headlined Mindslip at Habitat Studios, and have a series of exciting gigs and new projects on the horizon, as well as being extremely excited to bring their music to Matt and Phred’s.
