20 year old Hetta Falzon is a singer-songwriter from Somerset, based in Manchester. Using songwriting to fuel her happiness, Hetta puts honesty and vulnerability at the forefront of everything she creates, exploring every thought and feeling and welcoming you into the inner workings of her mind. Drawing inspiration from classic songwriters such as Randy Newman and Norah Jones, she combines her jazz, pop and classical past to inspire a unique melodic world, which is driven by her desire to move people. This evening, Hetta will be performing her original music, all the while sharing the stories behind each song. Once upon a time, in a year nobody can agree on, two musicians named Matt & Phred decided to open a Jazz Club. In 2010, some years after both musicians had left for pastures new, the Turner family took over the little back street Jazz Club and have been enjoying meeting musicians and guests from all over the world ever since. The club has now firmly established itself as one of Manchester city-centre’s most dearly loved live music venues, with an emphasis on creating an atmosphere people from different backgrounds and ages can all enjoy as one.
