Located on Coldharbour Lane, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Camberwell Green and Loughborough Junction, The Sun of Camberwell is a charming local’s local at the heart of the Camberwell community.
Spread across a bright open bar and seating area, spacious restaurant and two beer gardens at the front and rear, we pride ourselves on serving quality food, drink and friendly service.
Boasting 6 hand pumps, we serve a rotational selection of local and regional Cask Marque certified real ales. Our bar offers an exciting selection of bottled craft beers, premium lagers and the finest spirits – including 7 single malt whiskies for you to ponder! Our carefully selected wine list offers an even mix of Old and New World grapes to compliment our dishes.
Open seven days a week, our kitchen serves modern British pub fare, using fresh seasonal ingredients. We have delicious homemade bar snacks throughout the week and serve traditional roast on Sundays. Located at the heart of the restaurant, our open kitchen allows you to see our Head chef cook your order in front of you. If you have any questions about the menu or would like to pick up some helpful tips and advice, feel free to have a chat with the team.
Our décor is an eclectic mix of vintage designs, exposed brickwork, comfy seating, quirky recycled furniture and textured wallpapers. In the winter months you can sit by our open fireplace, sip mulled wine and wind away the evening.
If you are planning a party or private event, our function space, The Parlour can accommodate a gathering of up to 40. With entrances to the main bar and out to the garden, The Parlour is perfect for any social occasion. For more information about venue hire please ask a friendly face at the bar.
To keep you entertained we have a variety of events throughout the week, as well as one-off annual events and celebrations. We have a Pub Quiz every Wednesday, live music nights featuring local bands playing blues, jazz and folk every Thursday and every Friday evening we have resident DJs taking to the decks to kick start your weekend.
