After a lifetime of playing saxophone and flute for legendary artists such as Dexys Midnight Runners, Elvis Costello and Paul Weller, the well-regarded sideman and session player, Paul Speare, is now bringing to life his own exciting compositions under the title Time And Place. Paul’s music creates a heady fusion of jazz, classical and soul influences, with infectious grooves and cinematic soundscapes. Many of the pieces refer to locations and moments in time that have been influential in Paul’s life. He has assembled a band of players who bring their own flavour and personality to the project, together with invited guests, currently the jazz/soul vocalist Ginger Bennett.
