Welcome to Lewes Con Club, a privately run, not-for-profit social club, open every day to its members and non-members.
Con Club GardenSituated in the centre of the beautiful historic town of Lewes, county town of East Sussex, with easy access to and from the city of Brighton and Hove, Lewes Con Club consists of a large bar area, opening up to a function room with a professional music stage. Out back is a spacious garden area.
The Con Club‘s CAMRA award winning bar is managed to a high standard with real ales, featuring guest ales and of course Harveys Best Bitter, plus other beers, lagers, ciders, wines and spirits.

Members can hire the function room for private parties, meetings etc. The club also has a professionally equipped kitchen able to cater for parties and other events.

Con Club BarUpdate on our August “Friday in the Bar” nights
STOP PRESS – There’s a fifth August “Friday in the Bar”, actually on 1st September, but we slipped it through! We’re very pleased to introduce Mike Newsham, described as “like a young Ryan Adams on speed”. Don’t miss him.
This August we’re featuring a series of “Friday in the Bar” nights. Instead of playing on-stage in the function room our featured acts are performing in a more intimate style in the bar area. Inspired by MTV’s “Unplugged” and the BBC’s “Transatlantic Sessions” our idea is to present live music in a relaxed, more acoustic fashion than is possible in a larger space. There are just four of these events this August, featuring Phil Mills on Friday 4th, Three Fold on Friday 11th, Nicky Mitchell on Friday 18th and Milton Hide on Friday 25th. For full details please see our What’s On page.
And we’re already busy planning a sequel – in September we’re re-launching music in the bar on Sunday afternoons, something that’s been sorely missed by many of our regulars. Initially once a month, “Sundays in the Bar” will be on the last Sunday of each month from 4 to 6 pm with free entry for all and will feature an eclectic mix of music, starting with the excellent Jimmy Lee Morris on Sunday 24th September. More on this soon. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy August.
