There are lots of reasons to visit West Lothian’s stunning arts venue.
Whether you fancy dinner and a show, want to see a free exhibition, take part in an art or dance class or simply meet up with friends.

West Lothian’s premier centre for arts performances, events and activities Howden Park Centre was transformed in 2009 by designs by internationally acclaimed architects Nicoll Russell Studios. The redevelopment was funded by West Lothian Council and a Scottish Arts Council Capital Lottery Grant (now Creative Scotland). Awarded the accolade of Building of the Year from the Edinburgh Architectural Association, Howden Park Centre is a stunning building with a 300 seat auditorium at its heart, a gallery, art studio, pottery and several multi-function rooms as well as a stylish, café bar.

Operated by West Lothian LeisureOpens new window (from the 1st April 2017), the venue offers a continuous programme of professional arts performances, exhibitions, classes and events. Many events including the professional performances scheduled for the theatre and art gallery spaces are programmed by West Lothian Council’s Community Arts team.
