Steve Warner is well known to audiences at The Bear Club. A Hertfordshire-based folk and acoustic singer-songwriter and storyteller, Steve performs his self-penned songs on tenor guitar. After playing bass guitar in 90s rock bands, Steve discovered folk music later in life and immediately felt at home within the community. The storytelling, songwriting, energy, and passion of fellow musicians playing together lit a spark that has never left him. Tonight he is joined by Julie Simpson, a Scottish folk singer songwriter from Shefford. Julie plays gigs around Hertfordshire and although she is particularly known for her covers of Kate Bush, Simon and Garfunkel, and Tracy Chapman, she is an accomplished song writer too . The gig tonight will see these two fine players showcase their own material solo and together as a duo.
