Pete Long is a remarkable multi-instrumentalist whose career has taken him from the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, where he played all five saxophone parts plus flute, bass guitar and trumpet, through to touring alongside Dizzy Gillespie and Chick Corea and five years with Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. He has led the award-winning Echoes of Ellington orchestra and directed the Big Band at Ronnie Scott’s. These days Pete is a regular and much-loved face at Googlies, he’s the kind of musician who makes the impossible look effortless.
