“Now, Here’s The Thing…” Sally Creedon & The Joe Thompson Trio @ Crazy Coqs
Now, here’s the thing…
The songs (or “choruses”) in our show, such as Fly Me to the Moon, My Baby Just Cares for Me, and It Had to be You, all have one thing in common. They all have a verse, a preamble or, if you like, a “raisin d’être”. That’s French for “The bit at the beginning that most people leave out”. The bit that says, “Now, here’s the thing…” Now here’s another thing…
We’re not leaving them out. We’re putting them back in. So you won’t just hear (and try to guess) the songs we’re singing, you’ll hear why we’re singing them. Now there’s a thing!
Sally Creedon is a versatile jazz vocalist, who among other attributes, tours the Uk with her Carpenters Show while Joe Thompson has served up his unique version of party jazz for many royal audiences, including the late queen’s 90th and King Charles’s 70th. Birthday. Joe was once described by Diana Krall as her “favourite piano player in life”. With the brilliant Sophie Alloway on drums and Rob Rickenberg on bass, you are guaranteed an evening of great music and great fun in a great venue.
