The trio played their first gig at the Club last year and were so good there was no question about having them back. Their classic piano/guitar/double bass format, playing swinging jazz standards similar to the Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole trios of bygone years, is near to perfection. Jamie Taylor (guitar), Adrian Knowles (double bass) and Jason Scott (piano).

Not many jazz clubs can claim to have promoted jazz fifty nights a year for forty years. Dennis Hitch, Bob Walker and Mike Gordon, the original trio, were just looking for somewhere to play and that’s how Scarborough Jazz started.
