Mar 7 – New Eye + Polyvinyl + Lost Lot @ The Globe
Description Pencil Promotions presents three emerging bands. Lost Lot are a northern tinged alt-country band from the North East, blending heartfelt songwriting, rich Americana textures with 5 part harmonies and cathartic choruses. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Wilco, The Milk Carton Kids and Bruce Springsteen, their sound balances grit and grace, combining storytelling lyrics with layered melodies. Indie-art-rock outfit Polyvinyl are renowned for their unique live shows and genre-shifts. Their music, from ‘Modern Art People’ (2022 North East Track of the Year) to ‘Nirvana Now’, defies easy categorisation, showcasing a passion for difference. Immersive, sold-out live shows like no other (e.g. aligned with their debut concept EP, “Closure” – a sonic journey through grief), alongside music videos furthering narrative elements, solidify their full creative expression for future projects… New Eye is an upcoming five-piece high energy Alt-Pop band from Durham. Formed at the start of 2025. The sound of the band takes major inspiration from the New Wave and Post-Disco era.
