This duo of Kevin’s trombone and Jamie’s guitar promises something excitingly different. Influenced by the duo recordings of JJ Johnson/ Joe Pass and Rob McConell/ Ed Bickert, they play a mixture of original compositions and songs from the great American Songbook. Ben’s alto sax playing combines atmospheric jazz, blues grooves and soulful ballads.

Not many jazz clubs can claim to have promoted jazz fifty nights a year for forty years. Dennis Hitch, Bob Walker and Mike Gordon, the original trio, were just looking for somewhere to play and that’s how Scarborough Jazz started.
