Tonight we are featuring bassist Yolanda Charles MBE and guitarist Nick Linnik’s latest funk/fusion project, Instra_Mentals. A world class player Yolanda’s bass lines have been the “heartbeat” for a host of high profile artists, including the likes of Hans Zimmer, BB King, Mick Jagger, Paul Weller, Squeeze, Robbie Williams, Dave Stewart, Queen, Eric Clapton….not to mention innumerable studio recordings, film soundtracks, TV shows and stadium tours. Nick Linnik is fast making a name as a highly musical and gifted musician as well as a skilled arranger and songwriter. Joining them will be Hamish Balfour on keyboards and Richard Spaven on drums to, as Yolanda puts it “dive solidly into the world of Jazz Fusion”! Sounds fun…
