All bandleaders in their own right, the group is a collaboration between four artists at the forefront of their respective, boundary-pushing jazz scenes: saxophonist Alex Hitchcock, pianist and synth soundscaper Maria Chiara Argirò, double bassist Michelangelo Scandroglio and drummer Myele Manzanza. Grounded in contemporary grooves and production aesthetics, the band’s debut EP blends jazz traditions with modern production and a rhythm-driven focus, balancing gorgeous melodies with complex, flowing polyrhythms and emotive soundscapes. Noah Ojumu Quartet @noah_ojumu Noah Ojumu is a London-based jazz drummer and composer whose quartet is defined by strong rhythmic melodies and dynamic interplay. His original compositions reflect the groove-oriented music he grew up with, merged with his later passion for jazz and the avant-garde, resulting in a vibrant and exploratory sound. Over the last few years, Noah has been part of a range of projects including Koller/Kofi/Gourlay/Ojumu Plays Monk, Mark Kavuma Quartet and Tom Challengers Brass Mask, with a live album Cygnus set to be released in February 2026.
