It’s Showtime! with the Changing Colours Jazz Orchestra playing a selection of your favourite songs from Broadway Musicals and Hollywood Films. This 17 piece Local orchestra is made up from a select group of musicians, many of them professional who will be performing a varied and exciting programme of music you are sure to know. This highly acclaimed orchestra based in Ferndown has been performing across the county over the past 5 years & are delighted to be playing to our ‘home’ audience at The Barrington Theatre. about Barrington Centre
Our centre is named after Jim Barrington, a local businessman. In the early 1980s Jim, along with a group of like-minded colleagues, campaigned for a building that could benefit local residents. Together they convinced Dorset Council and Tescos that, in return for gaining the Ferndown site for a new supermarket, they should build an arts and community centre.Over the years, the committee developed a centre that catered for many local groups and a theatre equally comfortable hosting both commercial and community events.
