A very special lunchtime jazz for the Festival, featuring two of the UK’s most popular Jazz musicians. Saxophonist Alan Barnes has received over 25 British Jazz Awards and has twice been made BBC Jazz Musician of the Year, and pianist Dave Newton has been voted best Jazz Pianist in the British Jazz awards for the thirteenth time. The two have been playing duets together for over 40 years and play with an empathy that can only come with long experience. Highly recommended! The lunchtime jazz is held in the Cafe at the Guildford Institute, which boasts a baby grand piano as well as delicious food.
