Trumpeter Tomos Williams brings his band of brilliant musicians to Abergavenny to play the music of jazz legend Miles Davis. Tomos Williams is a leading and unique voice on the Welsh jazz scene. Heavily indebted and influenced by Miles’ music, 7Steps is a natural project for Tomos to front. 2026 is the centenary year of Miles Davis’ birth and 7Steps will perform the music of one of the towering figures of 20th Century music, with passion and vigour. The programme includes some of the classics associated with the great trumpeter, such as So What, All Blues, Milestones – but also some of the less well known songs from Miles’ vast catalogue, includings Joshua, Masqualero and Teo. The quintet, includes stellar Welsh jazz musicians Joe Northwood on tenor sax, pianist Dave Jones, Aidan Thorne on bass and Mark O’Connor on drums. 7Steps’ gigs are always packed – get your tickets early for a night of swinging jazz and burning solos.
