The Essex Youth Jazz Orchestra made its long overdue debut at the JCUK last year, playing to a packed house, and returns today on the anniversary of that occasion… The band is led by Martin Hathaway, the accomplished alto saxophonist and Professor at the Guildhall School of Music. Martin himself was a product of the EYJO, and now passes on his experience to the next generation. The band has been developing talented young Essex musicians since 1982, based in Braintree. Under 18s are admitted free for this event.
