Swiss pianist, composer and bandleader Nik Bärtsch and award-winning film maker Julian Phillips are thrilled to announce ‘The Musical Conundra of the Scientists of Groove’, a unique competition designed for music lovers and puzzle solvers alike. Combining the art of music with the thrill of a scavenger hunt, it provides participants with an unforgettable experience and unique prize. Embark on an exhilarating journey filled with rhythm, collaboration, and discovery.

Competition Details:

Participants are invited to solve six intricate musical puzzles. Clues to these puzzles are hidden within six 10–15-minute videos released fortnightly. The first is released on 29 November, culminating in January 2025 when only then can all conundra be solved. The videos are available to view on the official YouTube channel of Nik Bartsch.

 

How to Participate:

To participate, visit Nik Bartsch’s You Tube channel. Begin with the first video titled ‘Identity’ (launched 29 November) and locate the QR code for further information on how to enter and to start the challenge. Return to the YouTube Channel fortnightly to locate further 5 videos and continue the challenge.

 

Players are invited to solve the puzzles themselves but may need help, so are invited to collaborate online via Nik’s Facebook page. Then go solo for the final push. When nearing the final solution, participants must solve the remaining puzzles independently to secure the grand prize.

 

Only when the last video is released can someone win the prize.

 

 

Prize:

The grand prize is a trip to Zurich, Switzerland, to enjoy a long weekend, meet Nik Bärtsch and Ronin and watch them perform at their club Exil.
