Omar Lyefook MBE, the UK’s most celebrated and influential soul artist, rounds off a spectacular year that saw the release of his acclaimed magnum opus album ‘Brighter The Days’ (released on Impressive Collective / BBE Music) two sell out US tours, plus his hugely popular appearances on NPR’s Tiny Desk and BBC TV’s ‘Later… With Jools Holland’.

Now, Omar unveils his first ever Christmas single, ‘That Time Again.’ Suitably, it’s a festive, family themed affair: produced by his brother, Grammy-winning producer Scratch Professer, and featuring the beautifully crafted vocals of long-time friend and collaborator Charlene Hamilton. ‘That Time Again’ is steeped in Omar’s trademark sound – warm, rich and unmistakable – while Scratch Professer’s forward-thinking beats and sound manipulations give it a modern edge. The result is a soulful, sophisticated holiday track that follows in the tradition of soulful classics by Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, but very much tailored for the 21st Century. Festive, heartfelt and ridiculously catchy, it’s a song built to bring people together and light up the season.
