Weronika is an active London based vocalist and songwriter. Her music is influenced by pop, folk and jazz artists while her lyrics take inspiration from literature and poetry. She is involved in various music projects and is on a journey of discovery pushing the boundaries through different genres in pursuit of finding her original and unique artistic voice. Her passion for complexity in jazz harmony, melancholic lyricism and a hint of spirituality creates her artistic personae and it is through these sensations that Weronika delivers and shares with her audience. In her music, she creates intimate, dream-like soundscapes, often embraced by the atmosphere of soft darkness. Weronika’s music is a response to uncertainty about fragility of the surrounding world and finding beauty in the acceptance. Weronika has recently graduated from the BMus Jazz and Popular Music Performance and Recording course at London College of Music, where she received the “Highly commended “ gratification in “Lutenor Outstanding Jazz Vocalist Prize” and learnt from renowned British jazz singers- Tina May and Iain Mackenzie. During her musical journey in London, she performed in venues like: Jazz Café Posk, Ronnie Scott’s, The Troubadour, Old Queen’s Head, The Spice of Life, The Bedford, Servant Jazz Quarters and at TW12 Jazz Festival last year. This year, she co-wrote music for the festival of physical and visual theatre – “Metamorphoses 2- Inspired by Ovid followed by the performance in Waterloo East Theatre in central London.
