The Jazz Cave at Cirencester has been established with the objective of presenting mighty fine, live jazz performances – once monthly – usually on a Wednesday evening, in the heart of Cirencester and the English Cotswolds.
Some of the UK’s most respected jazz musicians play two sets of exciting jazz from 8pm and our aim is to create a truly varied programme throughout the year, with both instrumental and vocally led music featuring a wide range of styles from swing to bebop, mainstream to funk and more. With reassuringly familiar names and recommended new talent, there really will be something for all tastes! So whether you like your jazz fast and technical, melodic or dripping with tasteful complex harmony, we can assure you of a really friendly welcome, great ambience and excellent sound and lighting.
This beautifully restored Georgian building is sited in the centre of Cirencester and we’ll be hosting events in the museum’s atrium, where the ambience and sound is beautifully suited to live music performance. There’s a super friendly welcome awaiting you at the Jazz Cave at The Corinium; Cafe style seating around candle-lit tables, top notch sound and lighting are, as ever, used to enhance the live performances from some of the UK’s finest musicians. The music, with its constantly changing styles each month (bebop, trad, swing, modern, vocal etc) is curated to appeal to everyone – those who simply enjoy live performance and of course those who are already jazz aficionados. Above all, The Jazz Cave aims to create memorable live jazz music concerts that have entertainment at their very core.
The venue will provide snacks and alcoholic and soft drinks at fair prices, including when available delicious Corinium Ales.
Our venue has a capacity now of 70 seats, these are set out cabaret style (around tables).
