There are two distinct parts to the Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston: the elegant bar upstairs, ideal for reclining with of a cocktail or two; and the 100-capacity live music venue downstairs. As you’d guess from the name, the place isn’t averse to a spot of jazz. Sun Ra Arkestra have played there before, while Moses Boyd, a leading artist of London’s booming scene, played back when he was making his name in 2014. But the rest of the programming is eclectic and often draws in much-hyped artists — everyone from Laura Mvula to Car Seat Headrest.
