John Donegan
I am a jazz pianist leading Trio/Quartet/ Quintet and Sextet groups. I have 6 albums released under my own name:
Song For Ciara (Trio/Quartet and Quintet)
Jen’s Progress (Solo Piano Album)
AMARIE (the Bristol Sessions). Retrospective Quartet and Quintet .Siamsa Vol 1and Vol 2 comprising a new Suite of 21 Tunes of original contemporary music. and influenced by by involvement in jazz and my Irish roots. My sixth album is A Kite for Kate recorded and released in Mid 2019 and dedicated to my youngest daughter, Catherine. I am just completing 2 new albums – another Sextet album of original material and Vol 3 for Siamsa series, which i hope to record late 2020 or early 2021.
I recorded and released new album – John Donegan – The Irish Sextet – “Shadows Linger”” in Dublin in April 2022. This Album has just been released.
I play regular gigs/concerts at St Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, The Polish Club Hammersmith, London, Three Rivers Music Society, Rickmansworth, Herts., l’Escargot Restaurant, London, The Bull’s Head in Barnes, The Bebop Club, Bristol and many more.
