International music festival Jazz Fest Sarajevo was founded in 1997 with the aim to popularize and promote music based on jazz and improvised and related music.
In past years festival was a meeting place of different musical cultures and its high level of production and program reflects current developments in the international music scene, including special programs produced by Jazz Fest, representing local and regional artists, in common performances with international artists.
Jazz Fest organized numerous workshops and masterclassess and its new regional educational project Music Meeting was established in 2012. It gathers young musicians and music students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosova and provide 5-days of talks, workshops, concerts, jam sessions etc.
