Situated within Gateshead Central Library, Caedmon Hall is a flexible space with moveable seating, including a raised theatre style tiered seating section. As well as hosting library and Arts programme events the Hall is also available to hire. It’s an ideal venue for smaller music events, dance and drama as well as parties, rehearsals, meetings and conferences.

With a capacity of 240 theatre style and approx 110 cabaret style, the hall has excellent acoustics and a wooden sprung floor.

Wheelchair accessible with a lift. Induction loop available.

Bewicks, downstairs in the library is a licensed café/bar which can be hired with the Hall and seats approx 50.

Arrangements can be made to cater for events.

A discount of 20% is available to Gateshead Council Services, Gateshead based not-for-profit organisations.
