SEATED in the music room FREE ENTRY (Hat Collection) The Jazz Jamboree Orchestra (JJO) is a Sussex based amateur jazz ensemble directed by trombonist Mark Bassey. It comprises 25-30 musicians – brass, saxes, woodwind, rhythm section and vocalists. The Orchestra play a delightful mix of jazz and popular music (from Duke Ellington to Abdullah Ibrahim, Simon and Garfunkel, and Freddie Mercury) plus some original compositions – swing, Latin, funky, rocky. The arrangements are by Mark and other members of the group. The sound of the full orchestra is magnificent, full of warmth and vitality. Come on down to the jamboree…

Situated in the centre of the historic town of Lewes, county town of East Sussex, with its easy access to and from the city of Brighton and Hove and a direct rail link to London, Lewes Con Club has a large bar area, opening up to a function room with a professional music stage. Beyond the bar is a spacious garden and barbeque area. There are regular live music and other events, non-members are welcome. Please note that some events do have an entrance fee.
