Scarborough Jazz Introduces Jamie Gallacher @ Scarborough Jazz

We introduced Jamie at the Club two years ago as a new saxophonist. Last year he was featured in Leeds Conservatoire’s Emerging Artist Showcase. Jamie has now added clarinet to his repertoire, not so usual in contemporary jazz, so we wanted to have him back for a second introduction.

Not many jazz clubs can claim to have promoted jazz fifty nights a year for forty years. Dennis Hitch, Bob Walker and Mike Gordon, the original trio, were just looking for somewhere to play and that’s how Scarborough Jazz started.
