On moving to London she first made her mark with her debut album “Happily Ever Now” (2020) which explored jazz, funk, and soul grooves including the stand-out “I’m Still Here” which caught the attention of Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 6) and in the process built a loyal fanbase among Rare-Groove and Soul DJ’s and aficionados. However, in the last couple of years Sandra-Mae has gone back to her jazz roots, concentrating on her songwriting as well as performing, creating an outstanding album of brand-new, contemporary, American Songbook style material, “Seasons in Jazz”, which she will be launching this evening. Packed full of swinging numbers bound to raise a smile, atmospheric ballads to bring a tear and everything in between, tonight’s show is guaranteed to delight audiences with its mix of jazz standards, old and new!
