In early 2008, the run-down Continental pub, which had been closed for two years, sparked an idea in a couple who had little experience in hospitality but a wealth of creative entrepreneurial ambition.Cities such as Liverpool and Manchester had started to boom and Preston which had not long been a city was hoping to follow suit.
