This latest show is a live reimagining of his forthcoming album Again, and features a visual collaboration with the acclaimed multidisciplinary artist Freeka Tet.
The Again tour is presented in OPN’s trademark melodic touch, and follows the highly acclaimed multimedia concert MYRIAD, which was linked to the LP Age Of (2018).
Much like 2015’s Garden of Delete, Again germinated as a collaboration between Lopatin’s current and younger selves – this time, a meditation on his musical identity during young adulthood, from the perspective of middle age.
The album joins the ranks of OPN’s critically acclaimed albums, including his most recent, 2020’s Magic Oneohtrix Point Never. Since that release, Lopatin has been in demand in every arena of musical culture, serving as musical director for The Weeknd’s 2021 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance and as executive producer for his chart-topping album, Dawn FM. (Lopatin also performed on a majority of the songs.)
He composed and performed the music for Chanel’s 2021 show for their Métiers d’art collection, and has worked with James Blake, Charli XCX, Iggy Pop and Rosalia. Lopatin’s production credits include FKA twigs and Nine Inch Nails, among others.Experimental electronic producer, composer and singer-songwriter Oneohtrix Point Never (or OPN, aka Daniel Lopatin) takes over Royal Festival Hall in his first transatlantic tour since that for his album Age Of, which was accompanied by his MYRIAD ‘concertscape’ in 2018/19.
