Doors: 6.00pm Music: 6.00pm Jon Taylor is the ultimate jazz entertainer: he plays saxophone, flute, accordion, harmonica and sings. He also tells great stories. Jon is an alumnus of the Leeds College of Music and a contemporary of Alan Barnes, Dave Newton and Snake Davis, and he has been one of the most popular figures on the northern jazz scene for over forty years. He plays an engaging range of material encompassing classic standards, funk, blues, latin and chill-out grooves. His mission statement is to keep the music interesting and stimulating and to create a little bit of joy. He will do that in spades at our Christmas Rush Hour gig! Doors: 7.00pm Music: 7.30pm For our Christmas Party concert, Kate Peters presents an evening of music with her 18 piece big band, paying tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and the great ladies of song with arrangments by Nelson Riddle, George Gershwin, Count Basie, Chicj Webb. Plus some exciting new tunes and a few festive ones too! Kate Peters is a uniquely talented and versatile vocalist based in the north of England. A graduate of Leeds College of Music, Kate has worked in a wide variety of styles and areas of the music industry. Her versatility as a vocalist has enabled her to perform and record everything from Dance Music to Jazz to Musical Theatre and she has had the pleasure of working alongside some amazing artists, such as Candi Staton, Jaki Graham, Roachford, Katrina Leskanich (Katrina and the Waves) and Angie Brown. “ I loved it… It’s a thrill to see a Big Band.
