=== Quercus Venue Map Shortcodes ===

Adds an OpenStreetMap-based map of published posts, venue listings, and event
listings that have valid latitude and longitude metadata.

With the Quercus plugin active, add one of these shortcodes to a post or page:

{connects_venue_map category=”jazz venues”]
{connects_venue_map category=”venues” height=”650px” limit=”250″]
{venue_map type=”venues”]
{connects_venue_map type=”events”]
{connects_venue_map type=”events” event_category=”jazz”]
{connects_venue_map type=”both” category=”venues”]
{connects_event_map]
{connects_venue_map mode=”full” type=”both”]
{connects_venue_map mode=”full” type=”all”]

The category and categories attributes filter venue listing categories. The
event_category attribute filters event_listing_category terms. Names, slugs,
IDs, or a comma-separated mixture are accepted. Child categories are included.

Optional attributes:

* type or content: posts, venues, events, both, or all. Default: venues.
* mode: Use full for an admin-only live control panel. Non-admin users see the
standard map without controls.
* event_category: Optional event category filter. Empty shows all events.
* height: CSS height for the map. Default: 600px.
* limit: Maximum listings to show, capped at 2,000. Default: 500.
* lat, lng, zoom: Initial view used when marker bounds cannot be calculated.

The map uses Leaflet and OpenStreetMap standard tiles. It does not use Google
Maps or browser storage.

Full admin mode:

The full mode control panel is only rendered for users with manage_options.
Changing a control securely fetches matching markers through WordPress AJAX and
updates the existing map in the page DOM without reloading the page.
Ordinary posts are included only when they have valid latitude and longitude
metadata. Post markers are green, venue markers red, and event markers blue.
