Nestled just off Ashford High Street is the revolutionary pop-up arts venue
Revelation – atmospheric, intimate and quirky. Since 2011, the venue has welcomed international musicians, legendary performers and incredible experiences for the community.
It was only a matter of time before Ashford developed a top-quality arts venue. Over 10 years, Ashford’s population has gained an additional 15,300 people and that trend is continuing with a projected 40% rise over the next 15 years. With the highest rate of growth for any Kent district and three times higher than the county average, the need for a multi-purpose venue to support the growing community and arts audiences was overwhelming.
In 2011, this vision was realised and following major investment and support from St Mary’s Church, Ashford Borough Council and Arts Council England,
Revelation was created. With exceptional acoustics, high quality sound and projection systems the amazing space at St Mary’s Church offered a new home for creative talent in Ashford and a truly ‘Up Close and Personal’ experience for all who visit
