I became a fan of jazz at discovering Miles Davis at the Isle of Wight 1970 festival. Since then my interest has grown and I have honed my broadcasting skills from Hospital Radio days to my regular jazz broadcast with FC-Radio since their inception. My broadcasts started with personal recording of  jazz gigs in the Manchester area. Since then my reach has extended through my numerous jazz friends accross the UK and around the world including sounds from, America, Brazil, Vietnam, Italy, Finland, Isreal, South Africa and Russia. A personal high for me was in visiting Isreal and discovering first hand this uneque Middle Eastern jazz scene. I have recently started to write about jazz and cohosted the first JoinedUp jazz writing festival in 2021 in partnership with Sidetracks and detours.
