Every year when the sun heats up Enkhuizen and its surrounding waters, national and international stars from the world of traditional jazz are flooding the ancient town. The historic center, with its origins in the Dutch Golden Age (17th century), when the city was one of the most prosperous cities in The Netherlands, forms a great scenery for the outdoor events of the festival.
Great jazz musicians, many of them in an early stage of their careers, will gather in the old town for four days of traditional jazz in the open air and in the cities hospitality facilities.
