The Arden is a gem of a pub, an early 19th century coaching inn set on the edge of Stockport’s historic Market Place. The Good Beer Guide describes the pub as “Grade II listed & warranting a visit for the building alone”. The Guide continues “Note the fine bar, tiled lobby, grandfather clock & splendid snug” Although we would be delighted if you’d stay for a pint & a spot of lunch or dinner as well!  The Arden features traditional hand pulled beers from Stockport’s Robinsons Brewery and an extensive range of wine, spirits, liqueurs and soft drinks.

In the evening, the pub becomes a meeting place for many local societies & organisations, has a regular weekly charity quiz night & a popular weekly jazz night. Our open air gigs in the Courtyard on Saturday nights are not to be missed & the venue is heated!
