About

Suzanne Bertényi and Hector “Gato” Zemma sel. launched the Gambrinus concerts in their restaurant Gambrinus in September 1995. With the demolition of the property, a new location and broader financial support had to be found. The gambrinus jazz plus (gjp) association was founded on February 23, 2004 , and in March it moved from Wassergasse to the “Kastanienhof” near Kreuzbleiche, where gjp enjoyed hospitality until the end of October 2009. From November 2009 to December 2010 we again enjoyed hospitality at Gartenstrasse 11. Since then, the concerts have taken place again at various locations in St.Gallen, but primarily in the “Bistro St. Gallen im Einstein”, exactly on the former location of the previous restaurant “ Gambrinus”, but also in the cult building and other places in the city of St. Gallen. Since 2021, there has been intensive collaboration with the newly founded association “Kulturfabrik Rorschach” in INDUSTRIE36 .
