Description A series of regular Ukulele events, showcasing different talent from the thriving North East community scene. Each month, a different local Ukulele band (and smaller offshoots of that band) will perform a set followed by an informal jam session led by the group. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Heaton Jukebox This month Ukes @ The Globe is in safe hands with the wonderful Heaton Jukebox led by Eleanor Mooney. Expect a varied mix of exquisite vocal harmonies, toe-tapping tunes and synchronised strumming as well as great banter and endless fun. Ukulele workshop with Eleanor at 13:30 followed by with a performance by Heaton Jukebox. So come along and bring your Uke or feel free to just listen, the choice is yours. For further information or to register interest in your group performing, please contact Thomas Archbold AGE RESTRICTIONS Children and young people under 16 years old may attend events accompanied by an adult (age over 18). They are not allowed to enter the premises after 9pm and they must leave the premises by midnight. Under 16s are not allowed to purchase soft drinks, but they may consume soft drinks bought for them by their accompanying adult. 16 and 17 year olds are allowed to attend events unaccompanied by an adult and they may purchase soft drinks. They must leave the premises by midnight.
